Book ahead, or just walk in?

Either works. Walk-ins are welcome any day we are open, and quiet weekday afternoons are the easiest time to take one. Booking ahead does one thing walking in cannot: it protects your exact time, which matters most on Saturdays, before holidays, and in the hour after offices let out. We are open Tuesday through Saturday until 7 and Sunday until 5, so an after-work or Sunday visit is easy to fit; we are closed Monday. The consult: shape, length, finish, budget

When you sit down, your artist will ask what you have in mind, and four small decisions cover it. Shape: round and squoval are easy starting points, and your artist can suggest one that suits your hands. Length: for a first manicure, staying close to your natural length is the low-pressure choice. Finish: regular polish is quick and simple to change, while gel polish costs a little more and wears about 2 to 3 weeks without chipping. Budget: say your number plainly. Nobody flinches, and it helps your artist point you to the right spot on the full service menu. Bringing a photo is completely normal. Guests do it every day, and a picture answers more questions than five minutes of describing. If you do not know the name of what you want, the photo is the name.

One worry to retire before you arrive: showing up with chipped old polish, or with nails you think are too short or too bitten, is fine. Removal is a routine part of the visit, gel removal is $10, and short nails are a starting point, not something to apologize for.

Phones, payment, and tipping, in plain words

Phones are fine. Scroll, read, take a quiet call, nobody minds. The one practical catch is that your hands are the work surface, so send anything urgent before the polish goes on, and expect to be one-handed for stretches of the visit. Payment happens at the end. Prices on the menu are cash prices, always our best price, and paying cash skips the 3% card processing cost. How long to allow, and what it costs

A Classic Manicure starts at $25: a warm hand soak, cuticle care, a relaxing lotion massage, and the polish of your choice. The Palace Spa Manicure, our signature at $35+, adds a sugar scrub exfoliation, and the Royal Spa Manicure at $42+ is the most complete version, with a premium scrub, a longer massage, and two warm towels. Adding gel polish to any manicure is $15 more, plus a little curing time under the lamp. Leave yourself a comfortable window in the chair, with a few minutes on either side for choosing a color and letting regular polish set.
