Nail Care Planning for Florida's Legislative Session

Florida's 2027 Regular Session is scheduled for March 2 through April 30. Committee meetings begin in late November 2026. Plan nail appointments around the dates you will be in Tallahassee, and ask which service and maintenance schedule fit your nails and calendar. Choosing a service that fits work requirements

Start with what your workplace and your week ask of your hands. A gel manicure suits a short, tidy shape in a professional color and is planned for about 45 to 60 minutes. Builder Gel adds strength over your natural nail at your own length, for hands that type and shake hands all day. Apres Gel-X adds length with full-cover soft-gel tips; a full set is planned for 75 to 90 minutes, so give it its own appointment. Maintenance depends on product and nail condition

Ask your nail artist what wear and maintenance to expect for the service you book. Gel polish on hands is often worn for about 2 to 3 weeks, but actual wear varies with your nails, the length you choose and your daily routine. Gel-polish removal and reapplication differ from a Builder Gel fill: a fill tidies the grown-out area and rebalances the overlay, while gel polish comes off in a soak and goes back on fresh. Removal depends on the product on your nails. Some gel products are designed to soak off; others require a different removal method. If you are unsure what was applied, tell your technician before removal begins.

Booking when you are in and out of Tallahassee

Committee weeks and the session itself put you in Tallahassee on known dates, so reserve around them and book the next visit before you leave town. Evening and Sunday hours

Palace Nail Spa is at 421 E Tennessee St, Suite 1, Tallahassee, FL 32301, in Midtown, with on-site parking. If gel polish, Gel-X, or Builder Gel applied at Palace lifts, chips, or peels within 7 days of your appointment, call us with your appointment date.
