Nail Salon Near the Capitol and Downtown Tallahassee, FL

Palace Nail Spa is a short walk north of the Capitol and a few minutes by car from the courthouse, the Supreme Court and the law offices along Monroe, Adams and Calhoun. We are on East Tennessee Street in Midtown with our own parking lot, open until 7:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday, so a visit fits a lunch hour or the end of a session day.

Getting here from the Capitol

On foot, head north on Monroe Street or Calhoun Street from the Capitol complex to Tennessee Street and turn east; Palace is a few blocks along. By car, Monroe Street north to Tennessee Street, then right, and park in our lot at 421 E Tennessee St. Because parking is on site, a lunch-hour visit does not start with a walk from a garage. Travel times vary with traffic and the time of day.

Around the Capitol complex

The Historic Capitol, restored to its 1902 appearance, stands at the head of Apalachee Parkway in front of the 22-story Capitol completed in 1977, and the Leon County Courthouse, the Florida Supreme Court and Kleman Plaza are all within a few blocks of it. Down the hill, Cascades Park, reopened in 2014, holds Florida's Prime Meridian marker, the point from which land surveys across the state are measured. The neighborhood empties at the same hour every weekday and fills again for the legislative session and committee weeks, and this page is planned around that rhythm. Reserve session-week appointments before the week starts, and tell us your window when you reserve so we can be honest about what fits.

Lunch hour, session weeks and the end of the day

A gel manicure is planned for about 45 to 60 minutes. Reserve ahead, tell us your window, and we will tell you honestly whether it fits; allow separately for check-in, any wait and the walk back. During the legislative session and committee weeks, reserve before the week starts and keep the same day and hour if you can. Builder Gel is a good match for hands on camera and on keyboards, and the Royal Spa Manicure adds a scrub, massage and towel steps when the day allows it. Men are always welcome for a clean manicure or pedicure with no polish. After 5:00 PM, a Classic Pedicure planned for about 30 minutes or a Deluxe with hot stones closes the day without a second drive. Our planning notes for the 2027 session are in the guides.
