Warm Collagen Gloves and Other Small Manicure Upgrades

4 minute read

The two most useful small upgrades on our manicure menu are warm collagen gloves, an $8 add-on, and a gel polish finish for $15 more. Each solves one specific problem: the gloves bring warmth and deep hydration while your manicure continues, and gel stretches your polish from days of wear to two or three weeks. Neither requires changing your service, which is exactly what makes them worth knowing about.

Warm collagen gloves, the coziest $8 on the menu

Collagen gloves are warm, deeply hydrating gloves that slip over your hands during your visit. The warmth helps the collagen sink in while you sit back, and your hands come out softer than a lotion step alone can manage. Guests love them most in the cooler months, when the air turns dry and hands feel it first. They pair with any tier, from the Classic up to the Royal, and you can add them to any manicure on our menu just by asking when you book or when you sit down. The same warm gloves come early in our Diamond VIP Luxury Pedicure, so if you have had that service, you already know the feeling: quiet heat, and hands that stay soft into the next day.

Warm towels are a tier feature, not an add-on

Not every comfort on the menu is a separate purchase. Warm towel wraps come built into the Royal Spa Manicure, which includes two of them spaced through the service. If the part of a manicure you look forward to most is the warmth, that is worth knowing before you start stacking add-ons: sometimes the feature you want already lives one tier up, bundled with a longer massage.

The sugar scrub line between tiers

The scrub is the quiet dividing line in our manicure ladder. The Classic Manicure at $25 covers the essentials: a warm hand soak, cuticle care, a lotion massage, and polish. Step up to the Palace Spa Manicure at $35 and a sugar scrub exfoliation joins the list, smoothing away dry skin before the massage. The Royal Spa Manicure at $42 uses a premium sugar scrub and follows it with a longer lotion massage and those two warm towels. A useful way to choose: if your hands feel rough rather than thirsty, the scrub, not the gloves, is the upgrade that will fix it.

Adding gel, the longest lasting $15

A gel finish adds $15 to any manicure and changes how long the appointment lasts on your nails. Regular polish looks lovely but lives a short life on hands that type, wash dishes, and dig through bags. Gel polish wears for about two to three weeks with normal use, cured under a lamp so you leave with a dry, glossy finish. If chipped polish keeps sending you back within the week, gel is the add-on that quietly pays for itself. One note of honesty: gel needs proper removal, a $10 service, so plan on that step rather than picking at it between visits.

When a small add-on beats a tier jump

Here is the honest math, in both directions. The Palace Spa Manicure starts at $35 and gloves add $8, which lands you a dollar past the price of the Royal, and the Royal already includes the premium scrub, the longer massage, and two warm towels. At that point the tier jump is simply the better deal, because slightly less money buys more minutes and more steps. The reverse is also true. If the Classic covers everything you need and a dry January is your only complaint, the Classic plus gloves still comes in under the Palace Spa Manicure, and moving up a tier would buy you a scrub you never asked for. Our team will tell you which side of that line you are on, and our comparison of the Royal Spa Manicure and the Classic walks the full ladder if you would rather decide before you arrive.

Prices, and how to add an upgrade

Every upgrade here is available on request, no tier change required. The manicure ladder runs from the Classic at $25 to the Royal Spa Manicure at $42, collagen gloves add $8, and gel adds $15, all as cash prices, and paying cash skips the 3% card processing cost. Prices shown are cash starting prices; see the full menu for current pricing. You can browse the full service menu before you come in, and every service includes a complimentary drink while you sit. We are open evenings and Sundays at Palace Nail Spa in Midtown Tallahassee with on-site parking, walk-ins are welcome, and reserving your spot ahead protects your exact time, gloves and all.
