Nail Salon Near Lake Talquin and Fort Braden, Tallahassee, FL
Fort Braden and the Lake Talquin shore are west of Tallahassee on Blountstown Highway, State Road 20, which continues into the city as Blountstown Street and meets West Tennessee Street. From there Tennessee Street runs east past Tallahassee State College and the Florida State campus, across North Monroe Street, to Palace Nail Spa a few blocks ahead on East Tennessee Street with on-site parking.

Getting here from Fort Braden
Take Blountstown Highway east toward town. Past Capital Circle it continues as Blountstown Street for about a mile and a half and meets West Tennessee Street. Turn right onto Tennessee Street and keep going past Tallahassee State College and the Florida State campus, through the Monroe Street intersection, and look for Palace on East Tennessee Street. Our lot is out front. On Florida State home game Saturdays, Tennessee Street near the stadium fills up, so plan around kickoff or come on Sunday, when we are open from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Travel times vary with traffic and the time of day.
Fort Braden, the Lake Talquin shore and State Road 20
Fort Braden takes its name from the area's military history, and the Fort Braden History Walk, a half-mile trail between the Jane G. Sauls Fort Braden Library and the Fort Braden Community Center at 16387 Blountstown Highway, tells the story of the early settlers, the local schools and the creation of Lake Talquin. The lake itself is a reservoir on the Ochlockonee River, and Coe Landing on its Leon County shore is one of the public landings along State Road 20. Only the eastern part of this corridor sits within about fifteen miles of the salon, so check the live map from your own address rather than trusting a single figure.
Lake days and long-wear finishes
A weekend on the water is hard on polish. If you want a finish that holds up, ask about gel polish, which is cured during the service, or Builder Gel, which adds structure over natural nails; Apres Gel-X adds length with full-cover soft-gel tips when you want it. Follow the aftercare advice for the product you receive, and call us rather than peeling or prying at a lifted edge. For feet that have been in sandals and boat shoes all season, the Deluxe Pedicure adds hot stones and a cooling gel, and the Palace Pedicure adds a scrub and a collagen cream mask. Couples are welcome, and men are always welcome for a manicure or pedicure with no polish.
