Nail Salon Near Lake Jackson and Huntington, Tallahassee, FL

The Lake Jackson neighborhoods, from Crowder Road and Huntington to Old Bainbridge Road, reach Palace Nail Spa by one road, and Northwood, where North Monroe Street meets Tharpe Street, is closer still. North Monroe Street does almost all of the work: follow it south into Midtown and turn left on Tennessee Street. We are open until 7:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday and on Sunday afternoons, with our own parking lot.

Getting here from Lake Jackson

From Crowder Road or the Lake Jackson Mounds side, take North Monroe Street south past Interstate 10, Northwood and Lake Ella into Midtown, then turn left on Tennessee Street. From Old Bainbridge Road, follow it southeast to Tharpe Street, then Monroe south. Palace is on East Tennessee Street a few blocks east of Monroe with parking out front, so there is nothing to feed and nothing to circle. Travel times vary with traffic and the time of day.

The lake that empties itself

Lake Jackson is the big, shallow lake north of Interstate 10 whose original name, Okeeheepkee, meant disappearing waters: from time to time it drains through Porter Hole Sink and Lime Sink into the aquifer and then slowly refills, most recently in 2021 and 2022. Lake Jackson Mounds Archaeological State Park on Crowder Road preserves earthen mounds built centuries before the city existed, the Lake Jackson Community Center is at Huntington Oaks on North Monroe Street, and Fred George Greenway sits to the west off Capital Circle NW. Closer to town, the old Northwood Centre site at North Monroe Street, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Tharpe Street is being rebuilt by the City around a new police headquarters. North Monroe Street ties all of it to Midtown: Huntington, Northwood, Lake Ella and finally Tennessee Street.

Regular upkeep on the Monroe Street run

Because we sit on the way to downtown, a visit from Lake Jackson can fold into a commute or an errand run. A gel manicure is planned for about 45 to 60 minutes; dip powder is another long-wearing option in a natural-nail look. Choose the pedicure tier by the steps you want, from the Classic at about 30 minutes to the Diamond VIP at about 70. If you are unsure which finish or system suits your nails, ask at the consultation before color is chosen; we confirm the service, estimated total and expected time before starting. Walk-ins are always welcome, and reservations are strongly recommended Friday through Sunday.
