Getting here from Havana

Take US 27 south out of Havana. It becomes North Monroe Street as it enters Tallahassee, passes Interstate 10 and Lake Ella, and reaches Tennessee Street in Midtown. Turn left on Tennessee; Palace is a few blocks along with our own lot out front. The drive is a single road with no turns until the last one, which makes it an easy pairing with an afternoon in town. Travel times vary with traffic and the time of day.

Main Street, shade tobacco and US 27

Havana was laid out in 1904 beside the new railroad and incorporated in 1906, and its name honors the shade tobacco that made the town's fortune, judged good enough to rival cigars from Havana, Cuba. The old tobacco warehouses along Main Street hold the antique and specialty shops that line the town center today, and US 27 runs south from the middle of town straight into Tallahassee as North Monroe Street. Only the southern edge of Havana sits within about fifteen miles of the salon, so this is a day-in-town page rather than a quick-errand page.

Worth the drive, on a day in town

If you are already coming into Tallahassee for an appointment, shopping or a visit with family, book the salon for the same day and let it be the part of the day that is just for you. The Palace Pedicure, our Palace Signature, and the longer Royal, 24K and Diamond VIP tiers are built for guests who are not in a hurry; tell your nail artist your preferred water temperature and massage pressure. A gel manicure adds about 45 to 60 minutes and travels well for the drive home. Choose both hands and feet only if you want both; a longer drive does not call for a larger appointment. Mother and daughter or sisters visiting together can call ahead so we plan seating; groups of three or more do not require a deposit. Gift cards are available at the front desk if you would like to treat someone who cannot make the trip.
