Nail Salon Near the Market District, Maclay and Timberlane, Tallahassee, FL

The Market District, where Thomasville Road meets Capital Circle NE and Interstate 10, is a straight run down Thomasville Road from Palace Nail Spa, and the Maclay and Timberlane neighborhoods just west of it join the same road. Palace is in Midtown, not in the Market District: one salon on East Tennessee Street with its own parking lot, open until 7:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday and on Sunday afternoons.

Getting here from Market Street

From Market Street, take Thomasville Road south under Interstate 10 and through Betton Hills; it becomes North Monroe Street at the top of Midtown. Turn left on Tennessee Street and Palace is a few blocks along with parking out front. From the Maclay School side, Meridian Road south to Timberlane Road, east to Thomasville Road, then the same run south. From the Timberlane neighborhoods closer to town, Thomasville Road directly is the quickest way in. Travel times vary with traffic and the time of day.

Market Street, Maclay Gardens and the Interstate 10 exit

The Market District grew up around Market Street and Timberlane Road as a cluster of shops and restaurants with a Saturday farmers market, and it sits at exit 203 on Interstate 10, so it is the part of town many north-side errands run through. A short way south on Thomasville Road, Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park keeps the 28-acre garden that Alfred B. Maclay began designing in 1923 and his wife gave to the state in 1953; the camellias and azaleas are at their fullest from January into April. Maclay School is on North Meridian Road, and a 3:30 PM pickup there leaves plenty of room before we close at 7:00 PM.

After school, before dinner

A 3:30 PM pickup and a 7:00 PM closing time leave room for a real appointment. A gel manicure is planned for about 45 to 60 minutes, and a Classic Pedicure for about 30 minutes, so a mother and daughter can be in and out with time to spare for dinner. Princess manicures and pedicures are on our menu for younger guests, and a parent or caregiver accompanying a child is always welcome to stay. If your daughter has a recital, a formal or senior portraits coming up, reserve custom nail art in advance so it is routed to our nail art design specialist, and bring one inspiration photo. If you are comparing salons, compare the work: our gallery shows solid colors, short natural shapes and custom art side by side, and our pedicure menu lists the steps in each tier so you can decide how much time to reserve before you drive.
