Getting here from Piney Z

From Heritage Park Boulevard, take Conner Boulevard north to Mahan Drive and turn west, or use Weems Road to reach Mahan a little closer to town. Mahan Drive keeps its name past Capital Circle NE until Magnolia Drive, where it becomes East Tennessee Street; stay on it and Palace is a short distance before North Monroe Street, with parking out front. Travel times vary with traffic and the time of day.

A pine farm, a trail park and Lake Lafayette

Piney Z was a pine and cattle farm run by the Gibson family before the subdivision took shape in 1996, and the land beside it became Lafayette Heritage Trail Park after a gift from the family in 1995. The park entrance is at the end of Heritage Park Boulevard, and its trails link to Tom Brown Park across the water. Lake Lafayette carries the name of the Marquis de Lafayette, who was granted a township here in 1825 (Lafayette Park in Midtown, near our salon, is a different place). The trail park is built for walking, cycling and paddling, and the services on this page are chosen for hands and feet that stay busy.

Practical nails for an active week

If your week includes the trails, the lake or a garden, tell us the length and shape you want before color is chosen; a shorter, rounded shape is on the menu like any other, and Builder Gel adds strength over your natural nail without adding length. Gel polish is cured during the service, so it is set when you leave. For feet, a Classic Pedicure is planned for about 30 minutes and the Deluxe adds hot stones and a cooling gel; wear or bring open-toe shoes so fresh polish is not smudged on the way out, and choose pants that roll up above the calf. A pedicure at Palace is cosmetic care; if you have a foot or nail concern, talk with a medical professional first.

Questions from Piney Z

How long is the drive from Piney Z to Palace Nail Spa?

The drive is by way of Conner Boulevard and Mahan Drive, which becomes Tennessee Street. The map on this page shows current travel time from your own starting point, and parking is on site at 421 E Tennessee St.

Can I ask for a shorter, practical nail shape?

Yes. Tell us the length and shape you want at the consultation, before color is chosen, and mention how you use your hands during the week. We will plan the service around it; no product suits every hand, so we will say so if something else would serve you better.

Is gel polish dry when I leave?

Gel polish is cured during the service using the system's required process, so it is set when you leave. Follow the aftercare advice for the product you received, and contact the salon if you notice lifting or other problems.
